  • Is it safe to visit during Covid-19?

    We follow all local and national government guidelines regarding the pandemic. The store is regularly cleaned, with divider screens in place, hand sanitiser provided, and suitable ventilation. Masks are optional.

    If you have specific concerns or are worried about clinical vulnerability, please call us and we are happy to help over the phone.

  • Do you deliver?

    Yes.

    Whilst our website is light-touch, we have a huge range of stock and suppliers. Over the years we have shipped all over the world, from mainland UK to South Africa, the USA, Scandinavia and many others. The best thing to do is call or email us directly.

  • Is there parking nearby?

    Yes. There is some limited parking directly outside the store, and ample parking within ~100m in the Westmorland Shopping car park.

  • Can you help with maintainance / care of existing gear?

    We’ve 60+ years of experience of outdoor and sports equipment - whether that’s new gear, or giving existing equipment a new lease of life!

    We have a range of care products for footwear and clothing. If in doubt, give us a call and we’re happy to advise.

  • Can you help with the weather?

    Not really. The Lake District, Kendal and the surrounding areas showcase some of the best natural scenary in the UK… but the weather can be temperamental. Our advice is to come prepared!

    However, with so much to do in Kendal and the surrounding area, there’s no shortage of all weather activity.
